Privacy Policy

VitalWear (ABN 26 473 656 519) sells scrubs, compression socks and badge reels online at vitalwear.com.au. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with and how you can access or correct it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

• Order details: your name, delivery and billing address, email, phone number, what you bought and any order notes.
• Account details: if you create an account, your login email and password (stored encrypted) and your order history.
• Messages: anything you send us through our contact or team order forms, by email or on social media.
• Email sign-ups: your email address if you join our mailing list or ask to be told when a size is back in stock.
• Website use: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location and how you move around the site, collected with cookies and similar tools (see below).

We do not see or store your full card details. Payments are processed by the payment providers listed below.

Why we use it

• To process, deliver and support your order, including exchanges, returns and local pick-up in Adelaide.
• To answer your questions and team or bulk order enquiries.
• To send order and delivery emails.
• To send marketing emails, only if you have signed up. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
• To understand how the website is used so we can improve it, and to measure our advertising.
• To prevent fraud and meet our legal and tax obligations.

Who we share it with

We only share what each service needs to do its job:

• Payments: WooPayments (Stripe), including Apple Pay and Google Pay; PayPal; and Afterpay.
• Delivery: Australia Post or the courier carrying your parcel.
• Email: Klaviyo, for our mailing list, back-in-stock alerts and marketing emails.
• Analytics and advertising: Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity (which records anonymised page interactions, such as clicks and scrolling, to show us where the site is confusing) and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel.
• Hosting: Hostinger, which hosts our website.

Some of these providers store information outside Australia, including in the United States. We use well-known providers that have their own privacy and security commitments. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies to keep your cart and account working, to remember your preferences, and for the analytics and advertising tools listed above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Your cart and checkout may not work properly without them.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as Australian tax law requires (generally five years). We keep mailing list details until you unsubscribe, and other information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above.

Keeping it secure

Our website uses HTTPS encryption, and access to customer information is limited to the people who run VitalWear. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing us. If you have an account, you can update most details yourself under My Account.

If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, please contact us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
